- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 well-beaten egg yolks
- 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Directions

1Combine sugar, dash salt, and flour; stir in melted butter, lemon peel, and juice.

2Combine milk and egg yolks; add to lemon mixture.

3Fold in egg whites.

4Pour into 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Place in larger pan on oven rack.

5Pour hot water into larger pan, 1 inch deep.

6Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

7Serve warm or chilled.
