  • 1 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 3/4 c. hot water
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp. fresh lemon rind

Directions

    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in small saucepan. Gradually stir in hot water.

    Stir and cook 3 - 4 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Heat only until hot.
