  • 4 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 whole lemon rind, grated
  • Progresso Italian style bread crumbs

Directions

    Boil the spinach until tender in water to which has been added the sugar.

    Drain well.

    While warm, add the cream cheese and 1/2 stick butter.

    Mix well until blended and there are no lumps of cheese.

    Add the lemon rind (no juice).

    Melt remaining 1/2 stick butter and mix it with enough of the bread crumbs to make 1/4-inch topping on the spinach and cream cheese mixture.

    Bake uncovered for approximately 30 minutes at 350°.
