- 1/2 lb. lentils
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil or other
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 qt. water
- 1/8 tsp. basil
- 1/8 tsp. parsley
- macaroni (linguine, broken small)
Directions

1Saute onion and garlic in oil until light golden color. Add water

3all ingredients except tomatoes, linguine and cheese. Bring

4to boil and simmer 1 hour or until lentils are tender.

5Add tomatoes and cooked linguine.

6Serve with cheese. Serves 4 regular size people or 6 midgets.
