- 1 lb. pkg. lentil peas
- 1 beef marrow bone
- 1 onion, peeled
- 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 baking potato, cubed
- 4 to 6 hot dogs, sliced thinly
Directions

1Rinse and cook lentil peas in large soup pot according to package directions with marrow bone and peeled onion.

2Remove onion and bone after 1 hour and discard.

3Add carrots and simmer for an additional hour, adding more water if necessary and stirring occasionally.

4Add potato and hot dogs and simmer an additional 30 minutes until desired consistency.

5Season with salt, pepper and thyme to taste.
