- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 c. dried lentils, rinsed
- 1 c. diced carrots
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped cabbage
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 6 c. tomato juice
- 4 c. water
Directions

1Cook ground chuck in 6-quart Dutch oven.

2Stir in all other ingredients.

3Cook over high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours or until lentils are tender.
