  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup lentils
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 and 1/2 cups chicken stock or water
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • freshly ground pepper
