Lentils With Pasta

- 1/2 lb. dry lentils
- 3 medium stalks celery
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 6 c. cold water
- 1/2 lb. linguini or spaghetti
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Measure 6 cups cold water into saucepan.

2Put lentils in water with 4 cloves of garlic and celery (cut up in small pieces).

3Cut slit in garlic cloves, leave whole.

4Bring to a boil; reduce heat and let simmer 45 minutes until lentils are tender.

5Cut pasta into small pieces and cook separately.

6Drain and add pasta to cooked lentils.

7Add olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.
