Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups whole wheat flour
  • 12 cup ground roasted soybeans
  • 14 cup powdered milk
  • 14 cup ground flax seeds
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients except walnuts in a large bowl, and mix well.

    Whisk wet ingredients together in smaller bowl.

    Pour liquid into dry ingredients, and mix until thoroughly blended.

    Heat waffle iron.

    Pour 1/4 cup waffle batter into waffle iron, and sprinkle a handful of nuts on top of batter.

    Bake for 4-5 minutes until waffle is crispy and brown.

    Serve hot, or reheat in the toaster later.
