- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sifted cake flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons reduced-fat cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 14 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon nonfat milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2In nonreactive mixing bowl, stir together flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

3Using pastry blender, cut in cream cheese and butter until pea size lumps form.

4Stir in buttermilk with fork.

5Gather dough into ball and kneed it several times in bowl until smooth.

6Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.

7Pat into smooth 1/2 inch thick disk.

8With 3-inch cutter, cut out rounds.

9Repeat with dough scraps until you have 10 biscuits.

10Brush tops with nonfat milk.

11Place biscuits on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly coated with no-stick cooking spray.

12Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden.
