Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • hot oil for deep frying
  • vegetables of your choice (zucchini sticks, onion rings, dandelion heads)

Directions

    Mix together water and egg.

    Mix together dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients into water/egg mixture; beat with fork until smooth.

    Dip vegetables into batter and deep fry at 375° to 400° until lightly browned.
