  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. hot milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 6 to 6 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Place sugar, shortening and salt in large bowl.

    Add hot milk and stir to soften shortening.
  3. 3
    Cool; beat in eggs.

    Soften yeast in warm water.

    Stir into shortening mixture.

    Add 4 cups flour. Beat smooth. Add more flour, enough to make smooth, soft dough. Bake for 25 minutes at 400°.

    Makes 36 rolls.
