  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup Hershey chocolate (cocoa)
  • 2 eggs or egg substitute
  • 1 cup Turbinado brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup powdered milk or skim milk (add 1/4 cup vinegar or 1 cup buttermilk)
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
  • 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour

    Put wet ingredients in bowl.

    Add dry ingredients and milk. Beat.

    Pour in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan sprayed with Pam.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
