  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 12 cup firm unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

    Put the flour, baking powder, and ginger in a food processor.

    Cut the butter into small pieces, add to the food processor, and blend until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

    Add the sugar, syrup, and egg, and blend to a dough.
