- 3 c. flour
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1In a bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

2Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.

3Add milk and stir until blended.

4Place dough on lightly floured surface. Knead lightly.

5Roll dough to a 9-inch square. Place dough into ungreased 9-inch square pan.

6Cut through dough in squares. Bake at 425° for 15 to 18 minutes.

7When baked, biscuits will separate at cut lines.
