- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
- 6 c. flour (plain)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.

2Put sugar, shortening and salt in container you are making rolls in.

3Add 1 cup boiling water to mixture.

4Stir until dissolved.

5Add 1 cup cold water.

6Stir in yeast mixture.

7Beat egg and add to mixture. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, stirring.

8Cover and refrigerate.
