- 1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. spice cake mix
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 (21 oz.) can Comstock apple pie filling
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1In large bowl, combine dry cake mix, melted butter and eggs. Blend well.

2Spread on bottom of 9 x 13 baking pan.

3Spoon pie filling evenly over batter.

4In small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.

5Cut in softened butter.

6Stir in nuts.

7Sprinkle over pie filling.

8Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.

9Serve with Cool Whip.
