- 1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 2/3 c. lukewarm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- flour
Directions

1Dissolve 1 cake yeast (I use 1 package dry yeast) in lukewarm water.

2Add sugar, salt and shortening.

3Add enough flour to make stiff dough.

4Let rise about 2 hours in warm place.

5Work down and make in rolls.

6Bake at 400° until golden brown.
