- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 (9-inch) pie shells
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar.

2Cut in margarine with pastry blender or knife until mixture is crumbly.

3Set aside.

4Mix together corn syrup, hot water and baking soda.

5Divide liquid evenly into two 9-inch pie shells.

6Divide evenly and add the crumbs.

7Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

8Reduce heat to 350° and bake about 20 minutes longer or until firm.
