- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 3 c. lima beans
- 1 c. mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- fine bread crumbs
- 1 c. liquid from mushrooms and beans
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Add onion; cook until tender.

3Blend in flour. Add salt, pepper and liquid; mix well.

4(If not enough liquid from mushrooms and beans, add enough water to make one cup.)

5Add evaporated milk; blend.

6Add beans and mushrooms; mix well.

7Place in buttered casserole dish.

8Mix the melted butter and crumbs; sprinkle over bean casserole.

9Bake, uncovered, at 350° until bubbly and crumbs are browned.
