  • 12 cup unsalted butter
  • 12 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg, large
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 12 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, dark
  • 12 cup walnuts, chopped (or pecans)

    Preheat oven 375 F (190 C)

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add the egg, milk and vanilla.

    Lightly mix the above ingredients into a bowl with the flour, baking powder and salt.

    Do not overmix.

    Add chocolate and nuts.

    Set up cookies on trays lined with baking paper.

    Bake 15 to 20 mins for crisp biscuits, 25 mins for very crisp, dry, dense biscuits.
