  • 2 (15 oz.) cans baby lima beans, drained
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, or 4 oz. canned
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder

Directions

    Melt butter and add mushrooms.

    Cool 5 minutes, then sprinkle with flour.

    Slowly add 2 cups milk.

    Stir and cook until sauce thickens.

    Add cheese, salt, pepper and chili powder.

    Add lima beans.

    Gently reheat and serve hot.
