- 1 lb. dried lima beans
- 6 large ripe pears, cored, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/4 c. chicken broth or stock
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
Directions

1Soak limas as directed by package.

2Combine all ingredients in a crock-pot and bake for 8 hours or longer.

3Or use a heavy casserole with a tight fitting lid and bake in 200° oven for 8 hours or longer.
