  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp. finely grated lime rind
  • 8 large egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
