- 1 1/2 gal. or 7 lb. cucumbers
- 2 gal. cold water
- 2 c. slack lime
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 8 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 2 Tbsp. pickling spices
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Mix water and lime; add cucumbers.

2Stir often.

3Soak 24 hours. Wash well.

4Soak in clear water 3 hours.

5Drain well and add other ingredients.

6Let stand overnight.

7Heat and boil 35 minutes.

8Can and seal.
