- 7 lb. cucumbers, sliced to 1/4 in.
- 2 c. lime
- 4 1/3 lb. sugar
- 2 quarts vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. mixed spices
- 2 gallons water, cold
Directions

1Place cucumbers in 2 gallons water and lime.

2Let set for 24 hours. Drain and rinse off cover.

3Cover with cold water and let stand 3 hours.

4Cover with vinegar and spices and let stand over night.

5Heat cucumbers, vinegar and spices to boiling.

6Simmer for 35 minutes.

7Place in clean jars and seal.
