Ingredients
- 7 cucumbers
- 2 c. pickling lime
- 2 gal, water
- 2 qt. white vinegar
- 9 c. sugar dissolved in vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp. pickling spices
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- few drops green food coloring
Directions

1First soak cucumbers and lime in 2 gallons water for 24 hours. Don't use aluminum container.

2Rinse thoroughly.

3Soak in fresh ice cold water for 3 hours.

4Next put spices in bag and add to sugar, vinegar, salt and food coloring.

5Soak cucumbers in vinegar solution 12 hours over overnight.

6Cook gently about 45 minutes until cucumbers lose their white look.

7Pack in sterilized jars and seal.

8Makes 10 to 12 pints.
