- 1 gal. pickles, sliced
- 2 c. lime
- 4 1/2 lb. sugar
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pickling spice
Directions

1Soak pickles in 2 gallons of water with lime for 24 hours. Next day, rinse 2 or 3 times and soak in clear water for 24 hours. Heat the remaining ingredients and pour over pickles.

2Let stand overnight.

3Next day, simmer for 45 minutes and seal.
