Lisa'S Old-Fashioned Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. veggie oil
  • 2 qt. (at least) broth or soup

Directions

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add the 1/2 cup chicken broth and oil, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

    Turn dough out on a floured surface and form into a ball.

    Roll dough to a 1/16-inch thickness and cut into diamonds or whatever shape you prefer.

    Drop dumplings into boiling broth or soup.

    Cover and cook for about 15 minutes or until dumplings are tender.

    We use this in chicken and dumplings.
