- 12 cup butter, softened
- 1 13 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 14 cups flour, plus extra for dusting
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

2Put the butter and mashed potato in a large bowl.

3Sift the flour and salt into the bowl, then mix to a soft dough.

4Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few seconds, or until smooth.

5Wrap in clear film and chill for 30 minutes.

6Roll out the potato dough on a lightly floured surface until 1/3 inch thick.

7Brush with beaten egg, then cut into strips 3/4 in x 3 inches Transfer to a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with caraway seeds.

8Bake for 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

9Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool.

10Store in an airtight container.
