- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 lb. chicken livers
- 6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. salad dressing
Directions

1Saute onion in butter until transparent.

2Remove onion and add livers.

3Saute slowly until just cooked through, but not brown. Remove livers from butter and cool.

4Reserve butter.

5Mash livers with fork or sturdy pastry blender.

6Mash or grind egg.

7Combine mashed livers, eggs, onion and butter.

8Add just enough salad dressing to make a firm paste. Form into ball and refrigerate. Serve with miniature rye slices or crackers.
