- 4 or 5 slices bread
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
Directions

1Best on cobblers (apple or peach).

2Cut bread slices into strips.

3Beat together egg, sugar, and melted butter or margarine. Prepare fruit and sweeten to taste.

4Put into casserole dish.

5Cut off crust and cut bread into 4 strips; lay over fruit.

6Pour egg mixture over bread.

7Smooth over all and bake until brown, about 25 minutes at 350°.
