  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. cherries (red sour pitted; reserve juice)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter; add egg.

    Mix well, then add cherries and nuts.

    Add flour with salt and soda.

    Bake until brown at 325°.

    Cut in serving squares and serve with cherry sauce and whipped cream.
