  • 2 pkg. dry soup mix (veggie, onion or mushroom)
  • 8 oz. low-fat sour cream
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. onion flakes (in veggie or mushroom only)
  • parsley flakes (optional)
  • chopped chives (optional)
  • 24 oz. plain low-fat or nonfat yogurt
  • garlic powder to taste

Directions

    Place cheesecloth or coffee filters in a colander and pour yogurt into it to drain.

    Let yogurt drain for at least 45 minutes. After yogurt drains, it will have a texture between sour cream and cream cheese.

    The longer you allow it to drain, the more like cream cheese it becomes.
