- 1 1/2 c. fresh basil leaves
- 2 to 5 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/4 c. pine nuts
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions

1Put the basil, garlic, pine nuts and Parmesan cheese in a blender or food processor.

2Turn the machine on and drizzle in the lemon juice.

3Continue to puree until a smooth paste is formed. Makes 3/4 cup pesto.

4Fat per 1/2 tablespoon = 1.1 grams.
