- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. sugar or artificial sweetener, or to taste
- pinch of salt, optional
- 3 c. skim or low-fat milk
- 1-2 Tbsp. powdered milk
- 3 tsp. vanilla extract
- dash of nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish
- 4 cinnamon sticks, optional
Directions

1In large saucepan, beat together eggs, sugar, and salt, if desired.

2Stir in 1 1/2 cups milk and powdered milk.

3Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is just thick enough to coat a metal spoon and reaches 160°.

4Remove from heat and stir in the rest of the milk and vanilla.

5Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

6Before serving, garnish with dash of nutmeg or cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick for stirring.
