Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can baked beans
  • 1/4 c. bourbon whiskey (not Scotch)
  • 1 tsp. instant coffee
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple slices
  • sprinkle of onion or garlic salt (ad lib)

Directions

    Pour contents of bean can into small mixing bowl.

    Dissolve instant coffee into the whiskey.
  3. 3
    Stir well and let marinate for several hours.

    Just before oven time, line a high sided casserole dish with pineapple slices.

    Pour in the beans.

    Bite into a couple of beans to try the flavor.

    Bourbon flavor and alcohol contents will be reduced in the oven.

    Bake at 325° for 50 minutes or more. Serves 2+.
