Ingredients

  • 1/2 box acini de pepe (very small macaroni)
  • 2 regular cans chunk pineapple
  • 2 small cans Mandarin oranges
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 9 oz. Cool Whip

    Boil and drain acini de pepe.

    Drain pineapple and oranges and chill.

    Save juice.

    Add sugar, flour, cornstarch, salt, eggs and lemon juice to fruit juice.

    Cook until thick.

    Cool.

    Pour over macaroni.

    Refrigerate.

    Drain cherries.

    Cut in halves.

    Before serving, mix fruit, cherries, macaroni and Cool Whip.
