  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1.25 cup heated milk
  • salt, pepper & cayenne
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (sharp cheddar, mix of cheddar & colby, whatever you want)
  • dish:
  • 1/2 pound cooked macarroni (or spirals, shells, etc.)
  • a bunch of brocoli, chopped into florets & steamed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
