  • 1 lb. small elbow macaroni
  • 1 qt. plus 1 c. whole sweet milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 lb. medium sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

    Cook macaroni; drain.

    Grate cheese.

    Put 1 layer macaroni, 1/2 butter and 1/2 cheese in baking dish.

    Repeat macaroni and butter. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper.

    Pour over layered macaroni and top with remaining cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
