Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. macaroni (acini de pepe)
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can mandarin oranges
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip

    Cook macaroni until done.

    Drain and save 1 cup mixed juices. Save all juice from cherries.

    Make up rest of cup with juice from pineapple and oranges.

    In saucepan, heat juices with sugar, flour and salt.

    When all dissolved and heated, add eggs and cook until thick.

    Pour over macaroni and fruit and refrigerate overnight. Fold in Cool Whip and chill for several hours.
