Macaroni Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 6 qt. water
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. Eagle Brand milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 chopped, hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green or red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 to 1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, diced or grated

Directions

    Cook macaroni in boiling water; drain and rinse.

    Mix mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.

    Mix well and stir into macaroni.

    Add eggs, carrots, onion and pepper; mix well. Toss in cheese.

    Chill overnight.
