- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
- 3 eggs
- 3 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 15 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 2 2/3 cups coconut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

1Combine all cake ingredients in mixer bowl.

2Blend 30 seconds on low speed, then 3 min at medium speed.

3Pour batter into greased 9x13 cake pan.

4Combine topping ingredients til coconut is thoroughly coated and carefully spoon over cake batter in pan.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, or cake springs back when lightly touched in center.
