- 3/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
Directions

1Preheat the oven at 200C (400F), and butter a madeleine pan.

2Set aside.

3Mix the flour, the baking powder and the salt together in a bowl.

4With an electric mixer for about 5 minutes, beat the eggs and the sugar with the choice of flavor.

5Proust's original recipe is with green tea; you can also choose either chocolate, cocoa, lemon and/or lime zest, or vanilla, or any other flavor.

6Add the dry ingredients to the eggs & sugar mix with a wood spoon.

7Add the butter, and whisk with the electric mixer until the mixture has a texture similar to that of dough.

8Put around 3/4 of a tablespoon in each cavity of the madeleine pan.

9Put in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until the contour is golden.
