Ingredients

  • 5 c. bite-size crispy rice or wheat squares
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter
  • 1 c. butterscotch or peanut butter flavored chips
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut (1 1/3 c.)
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350° (325° for glass dish).

    Coarsely crush 3 cups cereal.

    In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crushed cereal over margarine.

    Top evenly with chips, coconut, Eagle Brand, nuts and 2 cups uncrushed cereal.

    Press down firmly.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Cool thoroughly.

    Cut into bars.

    Store loosely covered at room temperature.
