  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 2 c. (16 to 17 oz. can) canned pumpkin (not mix or filling)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    In large size mixing bowl, blend together all ingredients. Turn mixture into pie shell.

    Bake in a 375° (moderate) oven until sharp-bladed knife inserted near center comes out clean, 50 to 55 minutes.

    Cool.

    Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

    Serve cold with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
