  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can french onion soup
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions

    Put hamburger onto a double boiler over med-high heat and steam until done, pouring off the grease frequently. Add remaining ingredients and heat additional 15 minutes, stirring often. The longer it steams the better it tastes.

    Steam your buns before scooping the loose meat mixture on top, slather on a generous dose of mustard, chopped onions and a couple pickle slices.
