- 1 cup shortening
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 34 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- cinnamon-sugar mixture
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400*F. Lightly grease your cookie sheet.

2In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4In a small bowl, combine flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt using a wire whisk.

5Gradually add flour mixture to shortening mixture until completely combined.

6Roll dough into balls about the size of walnuts.

7Dip into cinnamon sugar mixture.

8Bake two inched apart for 8 to 10 minutes.

9My Note: I have found they do so much better if I chill the dough before I roll them in cinnamon and sugar.

10let my dough set in the fridge for about an hour and they were so easy to work with.
