- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 6 eggs
- 6 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. melted butter
Directions

1Dissolve yeast and the 1 teaspoon sugar in warm water.

2Beat eggs very well.

3Measure flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt into large bowl; make a well and add yeast, eggs, milk, water and butter. Beat well to form soft smooth dough.

4Cover and let rise until doubled.

5With a circular motion following edge of bowl, turn dough and let rise until doubled.

6Heat deep fat to 375°.

7Spoon teaspoonfuls of dough carefully from bowl to keep risen dough from falling.

8Drop into fat and fry until brown.

9Drain on paper towels; shake in bag with sugar.

10Serve hot.

11Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
