- 2/3 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. malted milk powder (vanilla or chocolate)
- 1/3 c. oleo
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Sift together flour and baking powder.

2Melt oleo in a medium saucepan; add brown sugar.

3Stir in vanilla and eggs.

4Add dry ingredients slowly.

5Add dates and pecans with last of flour and mix thoroughly.

6Bake in well-greased and floured square pan at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

7When cool, cut into squares or bars.
